Rivers pastor in police custody for suspected homosexuality

A pastor in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has been arrested by the police for alleged involvement in homosexual activities.

The pastor, identified only as Elijah, is the General Overseer of a church located on Eagle Island in the state capital.

His arrest follows the circulation of videos in which he is seen engaging in sexual acts with a man, who recorded the footage to gather evidence.

The man reportedly played along with the pastor’s advances and later used the video to demand sexual favours from him.

The Rivers State Police, acting on credible intelligence, tracked the pastor’s activities after the video surfaced.

The police later apprehended him during an operation at one of his regular relaxation spots.

During questioning, the pastor allegedly provided further information about his involvement in similar activities, both with adult males and minors, both within Port Harcourt and beyond.

Grace Iringe-Koko, the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, confirmed the arrest, stating that the pastor has been charged and the matter has already been transferred to court for further legal proceedings.
