Shadow Cabinet: I’m prepared to face consequences of my actions, death means nothing to me, says Pat Utomi
Prof. Utomi

One of the statements
Prof. Pat Utomi has expressed his readiness to face the consequences of his actions following the introduction of the highly controversial shadow government.
According to his statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that his hands were primed for handcuffs.
Recall, the Department of State Security (DSS) has dragged him to court over the controversial “shadow government” describing the action as prologue to creating instability and throw the country into a state chaos.
The DSS expressed concern that such a structure, styled as a “shadow government,” if left unchecked, may incite political unrest, cause intergroup tensions, and embolden other unlawful actors or separatist entities to replicate similar parallel arrangements, all of which pose a grave threat to national security.”
The plaintiff therefore asked the court to declare the purported “shadow government” or “shadow cabinet” being planned by Utomi and his associates as “unconstitutional and amounts to an attempt to create a parallel authority not recognised by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).”
However, it what appeared to be a response to the suit, Utomi expressed his readiness to face the consequences of his actions as he had no regrets over the introduction.
He said he will arrive at the country on June 12 and head straight to the residence of Late Moshood Abiola.
He further pointed out that his hands were primed for handcuffs and if the preferred punishment for him were bullets, he was willing to submit himself.
Speaking further, he disclosed that death was not a big deal to him as according to him, four of his friends were already lying dead im the mortuary.
His words shared on his official X handle: “Where am I, will arrive on June 12 and head to Abiola’s residence. My hands are primed for handcuffs and if the Aquino treatment from Marcos, bullet at the airport is preferred I submit willingly like a lamb led to slaughter. Death is no big deal….” he wrote.
