Henry Baro celebrates Governor Oborevwori, Keyamo on their awards

Henry Baro, the Asiwaju of Delta State, uas raised a toast to two of Delta’s brightest stars – Rt. Hon. Elder Dr. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, JP, crowned Governor of the Year 2025 by Leadership Newspapers and New Telegraph and Olorogun Festus Keyamo, SAN, named Silver Bird Man of the Year.

Baro’s toast, a blend of wisdom and street‑smart flair, painted their achievements as “a river that never runs dry, feeding every farm of development,” and “a flight that never loses altitude, guiding the nation’s aviation into a new era.”

Baro likened Oborevwori’s tenure to “a master builder with a blueprint of inclusion, laying roads, schools, and hospitals like bricks of hope.”

He quoted the old saying, “A good name is better than riches,” noting that the governor’s reputation now echoes from Warri to Asaba as a proof to transparent governance and people‑first policies. “When the drumbeat of progress sounds, every Deltan must dance,” Baro noted, urging citizens of the state to turn applause into action and keep the momentum rolling.

Baro described Keyamo as “the pilot who steadies the cockpit in stormy weather, turning turbulence into triumph.”

He added, “Just as a well‑timed flight lands safely, Keyamo’s reforms have landed Nigeria’s aerospace sector on a runway of global relevance.”

Baro described Keyamo as “a feather in the nation’s cap, a reminder that when we aim high, the sky is not the limit but the beginning.”

He added: “When two great trees stand tall, the forest thrives.”

He called on Deltans, Nigerians, and all stakeholders to “stay woke, stay working, and keep the engines of development humming.”

In his view, honours of the duo are not mere trophies but “launchpads for a future where governance and innovation soar together, like twin jets on a sunrise runway.”
