Bokkos attack: Time to say, enough is enough – Ribadu Nuhu

The National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, has reaffirmed the federal government’s commitment to ending insecurity across Nigeria, urging communities to unite in the fight against violence and instability.

Speaking during a visit to Plateau State, Ribadu delivered a strong message of solidarity and assurance on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The visit was in response to the recent spate of attacks in Bokkos Local Government Area, where over 60 individuals, including women and children, lost their lives. Ribadu met with state officials, security leaders, and the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, to assess the situation and extend the federal government’s condolences.

While addressing journalists, Ribadu stated that over 2,000 suspected terrorists have been arrested and prosecuted within the past two years under President Tinubu’s administration.

He emphasised that although Nigeria is facing difficult times, these challenges will not last forever.

“The time has come for all of us to say, ‘enough is enough.’ We must stop this violence and unite for peace,” Ribadu said.

He called on residents of Plateau and other affected regions to work together and support ongoing security operations.

He also appealed to the media to report accurately and avoid sensationalism, stressing that every life lost is significant and must not be misrepresented.

Ribadu acknowledged the efforts of the armed forces and security personnel, commending their dedication and sacrifice.
