BREAKING: Atiku Abubakar Resigns from PDP

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has officially announced his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

This was made known in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @imranmohammad, on Tuesday.

Atiku, a veteran politician and five-time presidential contender, has been one of the most prominent figures in the PDP since its inception. He ran as the party’s presidential candidate in the 2019 and 2023 general elections.

He is a front runner in the coalition movement under Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
