BREAKING: EFCC takes in former Anambra governor Chris Ngige for questioning

Former Anambra State governor, Chris Ngige, has been arrested in Abuja.

Ngige is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

This was confirmed in a statement on Wednesday night and signed by his former media aide, Fred Chukwulobe.

Chukwulobe dismissed rumours that the former Minister, who served in the Muhammadu Buhari administration, was kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

He said, “Former Governor of Anambra State and immediate past minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, is with the EFCC. More details later.”

The reason behind his arrest has not been revealed as the time of filing this report.
