Gunmen hijack fully loaded fuel tanker at gunpoint

Gunmen, suspected to be bandits, have reportedly hijacked a white Howo tanker with Reg No. ABN 582 XB along Dangote—Ijebu-Ode Road, Ogun State, after the toll fee gate at gunpoint.

Written HIGHWAY with green colour, the truck was loaded with 60,000 litres of PMS.

A press release on Tuesday said the incident happened at 8pm on Monday, January 12 and that the truck was the property of Highway Oil & Gas Ltd.

In the statement, the Chief Executive of the company, Chief Ndubuisi Osele, implored whoever has information on the whereabouts of the truck to contact him on: 0803 316 7199.

He said a handsome reward is available for any information towards recovery.
