How Edo NSCDC Commandant slumped, died after convulsing
The Commandant of the Edo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gbenga Agun, has slumped and died at an award ceremony peace in Benin City.
The event was organised by the International Association of World Peace Advocate.
Agun who was was a recipient of award at the event which held in Thursday, reportedly slumped shortly after delivering his goodwill message.
It was gathered that he was immediately rushed to the Military hospital located at the Airport road for medical attention, but was reportedly pronounced dead at the facility.
An eyewitness who craved for anonimity, said: “the NSCDC commandant arrived the ceremony full of life.
“However, I observed he jerked intermittently in his voice while delivering his speech.
“After his address, he returned to his seat and began to convulse.
“He was immediately rushed to the hospital for Medicare, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
“It was an unfortunate situation. I sympathies with his family and pray for the repose of his soul,” the witness stated.
Spokesman for the Edo State Command of the NSCDC, Efosa Ogbebor was yet to respond to enquiry as at the time of filing this report.
