“How two policemen who came with an order to bring down our church died” – Pastor David Ibiyeomie

The founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries International, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, shared a testimony during their Crossover Service, recounting an incident involving two officers who died after disobeying his command.

Pastor Ibiyeomie revealed that several years ago, two armed policemen arrived at the church with orders to bring it down.

Despite being heavily armed, they were met by the pastor, who stood his ground and issued a bold statement: “If I be a man of God, cross this line. If you don’t die, God is not the owner of this church.”

The policemen dismissed his words, saying, “What nonsense! Cross the line.” They did, and according to Pastor Ibiyeomie, both of them died the following morning.

He emphasised that he had remained firm in his declaration.

Pastor Ibiyeomie went on to explain how, while in Port Harcourt, he learnt of the event when others spoke about the church in Abuja. He recounted how people warned others, “Anything about that church, boy, don’t go there,” referencing the deadly incident.

The pastor encouraged his congregation to stand firm in their faith, declaring, “If I be a son/daughter of God, let the same fire come down now!”

He emphasised the importance of doing things with divine revelation, citing James 5:16–17, which states that “the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much,” reinforcing the power of righteous prayer in moments of spiritual warfare.
