Husband, wife kill themselves in Ekiti State

A devastating and shocking incident has occurred in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, where a married couple, Caleb and Tate, tragically hacked each other to death in a violent and bloody fight.

The couple’s brutal and fatal altercation has left the community in a state of utter shock and bewilderment.

According to sources close to the matter, Caleb, who worked as a security agent – police officer, and his wife, Tate, engaged in a fierce and intense physical confrontation that ultimately led to their demise.

The exact circumstances and events that led to the fatal fight are still unknown, and it is unclear what triggered the violent altercation between the couple. But source said the fight started after Tate accused her husband of engaging in infidelity and extramarital affairs.

It was gathered that during the fight, Tate had inflicted a severe and critical injury on Caleb, cutting off his manhood. In a retaliatory act, Caleb, who was an Assistant Superintendent of Police, (ASP) swifty reacted by attacking the woman with a matchet, stabbing Tate multiple times, targeting her head, neck, and private parts.

The severity and brutality of the injuries inflicted by both parties show the extreme violence that characterized the fight.

The bodies of the deceased couple have been taken to the morgue of a prominent hospital in Ado-Ekiti, where they will undergo autopsy and other medical examinations to determine the exact cause of death.

The late policeman was reportedly in his second marital relationship that unfortunately ended his life.

When contacted, Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, SP Sunday Abutu confirmed the incident, saying the matter was being investigated.
