In reviewed results, many candidates secured minimum credits in English, Mathematics – WAEC

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has reviewed the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) results.

This was as it announced an increase in the number of candidates who secured a minimum of five credits in subjects including English language and mathematics.

The Head of Nigeria’s Office (HNO) of WAEC, Amos Dangut, disclosed this on Friday while briefing newsmen in Lagos.

He identified the error in the previous results of 754,545 candidates, representing 38.32 per cent, who obtained credits and above in a minimum of five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.

He added that the reviewed results showed that 123, 9884 representing 62.9 per cent obtained credits and above in five subjects in the minimum of five subjects.

While apologising for the errors, he urged candidates to check their results 48 hours later.
