“It’s all over now. All is forgiven”, Tinubu tells Gov. Sanwo-Olu

President Bola Tinubu on Sunday declared that animosity between him and the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu was over.

This is as the President publicly declared that he is no longer angry with the governor, saying, “It’s all over now. All is forgiven.”

This came during a closed-door meeting with members of the influential Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) in Lagos, where GAC chairman Tajudeen Olusi led the appeal for mercy on behalf of the governor and others who may have wronged the president.

Sources confirmed to The Guardian that the president did not go into details about the cause of the rift but accepted the plea for reconciliation.

The moment was reportedly sealed with Sanwo-Olu and others prostrating before Tinubu in a gesture of humility and remorse.

Though the reasons for the fallout remain unspoken, today’s reconciliation signals a reset in the political dynamics between the two leaders.
