NASS not stage for mockery but symbol of integrity, APC South South zone replies Natasha Apoti-Uduaghan

The South–South Zonal chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to stop dragging the National Assembly through the mud.

This follows her satirical letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The lawmaker, who represents Kogi Central, was suspended in March 2025 after accusing Akpabio of sexual harassment—an allegation the Senate President has vehemently denied.

Recently, she had written a satirical apology letter to Akpabio laced with innuendos. She alluded that she won election to the senate through “election and not erection,” among other sarcastic statements.

Meanwhile, in a statement released by the APC’s South–South Zonal Organising Secretary, Blessing Agbomhere described Natasha’s recent apology as a theatrical stunt lacking sincerity.

Agbomhere accused the senator of engaging in consistent unpatriotic behaviour and working with known government critics to tarnish the image of the National Assembly and the Tinubu-led administration.

Agbomhere, who also leads the “Door to Door For Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidency” group, insisted that the National Assembly is not a stage for mockery but a symbol of national integrity. He urged patriotic Nigerians to condemn actions that ridicule the institution.

Referencing her suspension, Agbomhere declared, “Whether by satire, idiom or innuendo, she has a choice to either apologise sincerely for her indiscipline, malicious falsehood, and treasonable actions or remain suspended and keep missing out on those beautiful working-visit pictures she loves to take with the Handsome, Uncommon and Adorable President of the Nigerian Senate.”
