New AGN President, Abubakar Yakubu involves in ghastly accident, detained

The newly elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Abubakar Yakubu, has been reportedly arrested by the police after he was involved in a ghastly accident that claimed a life.

Yakubu was said to have been involved in a fatal car accident in Surulere, Lagos, which allegedly resulted in the death of a pedestrian.

As of now, there is no official statement from the AGN regarding his arrest or the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Yakubu recently secured the AGN presidency in a closely contested election, defeating veteran actress, Rita Daniels with 116 votes to 113, while three votes were declared invalid.

Lagos State Police Command is also yet to issue a statement concerning the accident and arrest.
