Pastor Azemhe Azena parts ways with Apostle Suleman, OFM after 18 years

Pastor Azani Azena has parted ways with the Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), founded by Apostle Johnson Suleman.

In a post shared on Facebook by This is Bendel, Azemhe Azena, regional pastor of OFM, said he has spent 18 unbroken years with Omega Fire Ministries while thanking Apostle Suleman for the opportunity.

In a lengthy post, Azena said the article was “intended to stop misinformation or accusations against any individual”, saying “any misinterpretation or unintended implications is sincerely regretted.”

A member of the church preview to the separation told The Recorder that it was almost becoming suffocating the over bearing altitude of Apostle Suleman. He said it was a matter time before the chord between them snapped because of the general overseer’s exuberances.

The post, titled reads: “This post is intended to stop misinformation or accusations against any individual, organization, or institution. Any misinterpretation or unintended implication is sincerely regretted. The content is shared strictly for clarification and awareness, not to harm reputations or incite conflict.

“I want to thank God for the 18 years of service as a pastor in omega fire ministries.

“My appreciation goes to my spiritual parents Apostle/ Dr. Lizzy Johnson Suleman for their wonderful roles and impartation they made in my life. Meeting them was the best thing that happened to my life. Their mentorship and coaching are excellent.

“To all omega pastors world wide and OFM Benin1 members. As the saying goes, anything that has the beginning must surely have an end.

“After much prayer, fasting, tears, and medical advice, I yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit by stepping down from active pastoral work in OFM. This decision was made from a very hard way due to my love and commitment to the ministry.

“Thank God for my father, Apostle Johnson Suleman, who understood me and prayed for me and granted me my request yesterday, 1st of January, 2026. I really appreciate him.
HE REMAINS MY FATHER!

“I know there will be misconceptions, misinterpreting of facts, and truth from many people on this my new decision.

“Nevertheless, I advise you to avoid rumours and gossip. Anything you didn’t hear from me or via my social media platforms doesn’t exist. I love omega fire ministries.
