Shocking: Kidnappers forcefully deliver pregnant woman, free her without baby in Rivers

It what can be described as shocking, kidnappers abducted a pregnant woman, Mrs. Dorathy Opus, forcefully delivered her of the baby and freed her without the baby.

Mrs Opus was reported to have been abducted on February 7, 2025, in old Port Harcourt township, Rivers State.

However, in a shocking twist, the kidnappers forcefully delivered her of the baby and took the newborn away before freeing her.

According to a statement by her relative, Doris Tam, on Facebook, Mrs. Opus was dumped at De Young roundabout, Elelewon road, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, at around 7 pm on February 12, 2025.

The kidnapped survivor is currently receiving medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Port Harcourt.

The family had declared her missing after she failed to return home on February 7, and her last known location was at UPE junction, where she was waiting to board a vehicle.

The Rivers State Police Command has not issued an official statement on the incident.
