In a post match review, Inter Milan manager, Simone Inzaghi has delivered a verdict on why his lost scandalously to Paris Saint-Germain, PSG, in the Champions League final on Saturday night.
His said his side were not good enough to win the Champions League.
Inzaghi watched as goals from Desire Doue (2), Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Senny Mayulu gave the French Ligue 1 champions the victory against Inter in Munich, Germany, in a 5 – O win thriller.
Speaking after the game at his post-match interview, 49-year-old Italian suggested that Inter didn’t put in a good display against the Parisians.
Inzaghi, however, expressed dissapointment and sadness over the outcome of the game.
“PSG deserved to win this game and the trophy,” Inzaghi said.
“We’re disappointed, but the path to this point was great. As coach, I am proud of my players.
“The game, of course, was not good enough on our part.
“We are disappointed, sad. The players gave their all,” he stated.
Inter Milan will have to bolster their squad this summer transfer window in a bid to try and win the Champions League next season.
